The "Single Cask" was produced in Martinique at the Trois Rivières distillery. It was distilled in 2002 from Sugar cane juice with a Creole Column and then aged for 10 years. The rum has an ABV of 50,6%. This is a limited release and there are only 240 bottles. 7 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.1/10. Es gibt nicht viele Rums aus dieser Destille oberhalb der 50% abv. umso mehr freut man sich als fassstarker Agricoler auf solche Abfüllungen. Diese ist für mich eine ziemliche enttäuschung. Ein standard Agricole ohne nennenswerte und charakterisierende Ecken und Kanten.
Oh, schon an der Nase deutlich intensiver als der gleichzeitig verkostete 2007 Single Cask (RX6912). Am Gaumen deutlich kräftiger, die über 50% ABV tun ihm gut. Angenehmer, mittellanger Abgang. Keine Oberklasse der Agricoles, aber durchaus solide.
Der dritte Agricol am heutigen Abend. Gegen seine Favorit Vorgänger zieht er nur ganz knapp den kürzeren. Leckere , typische Agricol-Nase mit Holz und Würze. Der Gaumen ebenfalls, und zusätzlich nochetwas Kokos. Das macht es durchaus interessant. Alkohol ist super eingebunden.
