The "Rum of the World" was produced in Jamaica at the Worthy Park distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Kirsch Whisky & Eye For Spirits. It was distilled in 2006 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 12 years. The rum has an ABV of 57,6%. Oh, positive Überraschung! Anfangs fein fruchtig, im Abgang schön pfeffrig-trocken. Gefällt mir!
An der Nase sehr fruchtig, kräutrig, Ester, Lösungsmittel aber sehr angenehm nicht zu funky. Am Gaumen erst sehr fruchtig, bisschen metallisch aber süffig. Dann kommt ein leicht bitterer Ton und dann ein leicht pfeffrig würziger Abgang.
21.08.2020 Having a nice day at home with some samples. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light, light wood, fruity, orange, light mint, faint caramel, light marzipan. Palate Balanced, round, light wood, faint roasted, light licorice, faint marcipan, berries, faint vegetal. Finish Long and warm, light wood, faint smoke, fruits, light mint, vaint caramel, berries.
Not bad, typical Worthy Park, but the metallic taste bothers me. Therefore, unfortunately, not round.
