“Un rhum que j’ai eu la chance de déguster à l’aveugle et j’ai parié sur un blend Demerara, Caroni et un peu de Jamaïque pour la vivacité. Et donc un flagon de la marine britannique. Un nez de mélasse avec des fruits et des esters. De la douceur en contraste avec un côté vif, pas mal d’alcool aussi. De la vieille corde, du pruneau, du vieux bois et des fruits jaunes. La bouche attaque tout en douceur, en contraste avec un nez vif. Puis les arômes sombres envahissent la bouche et seulement alors le côté vif réapparaît. Tout s’accorde en finale, comme si ce rhum avait été blendé à la perfection. Une finale extrêmement longue et entêtante, mais aussi élégante et complexe. Ce rhum raconte une histoire d’héritier, noceur et dépravé. Aujourd’hui seul dans son château délabré avec de beaux restes.”

“This is a really punchy 96, well given the abv, probably no wonder. typical fruit and dirt, but also some lovley diesel and mechanics workshop. Some rotten fruit come to the palate and then finishes long and fruity. Straightforward 96 goodness...”
