How does this rum taste?
- Approachable and versatile sipper
- Sweet and fruity character
- Complex flavor profile
The Don Q Gran Añejo is a Puerto Rican rum distilled by Destilería Serrallés. Crafted from molasses using a column still, this spirit is aged for less than 12 years and boasts a 40% ABV. Tasting notes reveal a woody and earthy aroma with hints of vanilla and citrus, complemented by a toasted finish. The palate presents tobacco and diluted flavors, alongside wood, caramel, and tropical fruits. RumX users appreciate its approachable sweetness and delicate complexity, noting both its versatility as a sipper and the subtle interplay of flavors. However, some find the body slightly thin. This makes Don Q Gran Añejo an engaging, modestly elegant rum suited for both casual enjoyment and appreciative savoring.

"GREAT sipper. Dry, flavorful, and not too strong. An ideal companion sip when creating. Ron done right."
"Very sweet and fruity. Caramel is very present. At the same time also quite spicy, some vanilla. Quite back and forth at the end but the sweetness wins.Tasted together with Blauroter soft cheese = Jägerschnitzel"
