How does this rum taste?
Most enjoy its smooth, sweet nutty-caramel profile and good value. Critics find it too low in strength, a bit artificial and likely sweetened. Consensus: a pleasant, easy Cuban-style sipper.
If you like Diplomatico-style sweetness but want something a bit drier and more woody at a fair price, this Cuban fits nicely—just don’t expect big power or complexity.
Drinkers seeking high-ABV, unsweetened or very complex rums; anyone sensitive to added sweetness or put off by slightly artificial notes.

Mixed Nice mixed Slight complexity Surprising it’s from Cuba
Nice Sipper, complex, coffee, woody, nutty. don't mix, takes some the enjoyment out But at this price mixed might be ok
Something completely different from Trinidad. Very strong citrus tones in the smell and taste without being artificial like the pyrat
A rich taste with woody, caramel and fruit aroma's. A little sweet, with a touch of bitterness. A nice long aftertaste. Very easy on the tongue. I enjoyed it very much!
