How does this rum taste?
Most praise its powerful yet surprisingly balanced profile, long leathery-oaky finish and integrated alcohol; critics mention the aggressive burn and bitterness. Overall seen as a bold, rewarding cask-strength sipper.
If you enjoy cask‑strength bourbon or other dry Savanna releases, this will likely hit the spot: lots of oak, leather and spice, with enough complexity to reward slow sipping.
Beginners, those sensitive to alcohol burn, or drinkers seeking sweet, easygoing rums; also not ideal for anyone who mainly wants a versatile mixer.

Excellent rum! Notes of wood, milk chocolate, light roast and olives with a fleeting presence of caramel and vanilla... A strong, oily rum, but with the alcohol well integrated. Long, lingering finish.
I have a hard time to place this one, really sweet in taste despite no additives. About quarter of the bottle left now and haven’t tried it in a while, but think it’s better than I remember it.
Amazingly good! Lots of grapes, alcohol well integrated.
Had a relaxing online tasting yesterday and it had a vide spread between low and high end rums. A wonderful rum that is very well balanced and you barely notice the alcohol. Lightly bitter in the finish in a good way.
