Relicario Superior <10yr 40%
The Relicario Superior is a rum produced in the Dominican Republic, distilled from molasses using a column still and aged for less than 10 years. With an ABV of 40%, this rum offers a smell of alcohol, caramel, vanilla, spice, and grapes. On the palate, it delivers a sweet, caramelized, vanilla, woody, and brown sugar flavor profile. RumX community members found it to be a decent beginner's rum, suitable for mixing and as a base for cocktails, but lacking in complexity and power. Some users enjoyed its fruity notes and appreciated the whisky barrel finish, while others found it to be too sweet and slightly flat. Overall, it is a fair choice for those who prefer a mildly smooth and versatile rum.

“This rum is kind of thin/flat and lacks complexity, but I think it's a good beginner rum. The nose is fruity with oak and vanilla. The palate is fruity and the finish in whisky barrels is clear in the taste. The oak is present and so is smoke and vanilla. The finish is medium and spicy with oak/smoke.”

“Good for Mixing, nice as a cuba libre 👌🏻 A bit to sweet for what I like (maybe sugar was added!?) This was diluted for sure, no power, complexity…”
