30.06.2025 Retasting and I stick to my score. --------------- 07.05.2019 Enjoying some samples at home. Colour Light in colour, Nose Faint wood, anise, fruits, light glue, light earthy, light leather, light apple. Palate Light, faint wood, light licorice, light glue, light apples, light orange, faint caramel. Finish Medium long, light, faint wood, light dried fruit, varnish, light licorice, light caramel.
You can actually taste a slight whisky impact. However, this is pleasant, not smoky/peaty. But otherwise quite thin.
So the GRF is over and I can get back to the Cadenheads I got from Alex. By the way, thanks again for the split and nice to have finally met you in person. About the rum itself, as always a little more ABV would certainly have done it good, but also really tasty as it is. Again a better one from the Green Label series.
Works in an unusual way - still very youthful with a lot of fruity freshness, but at the same time already with a pleasant sweetness on the finish. In addition, wood influences and spices, on the palate and in the finish even with gentle earthy-peaty tea aromas.
