La Favorite La Digue Récolte 2019
Highly praised blanc agricole: very fresh, floral and cane-forward with silky texture and good complexity, especially for the price. A reference-style Ti’ Punch rum for many users.
Fans of characterful blancs who enjoy fresh cane, florals and light medicinal/anise notes, especially those mixing serious Ti’ Punch or exploring Martinique agricoles beyond the basics.

How does this rum taste?
Fresh, floral, silky agricole blanc
If you already enjoy agricole blancs like Neisson or La Favorite Bel Air, this is an easy pick: slightly silky, nicely complex and shines in Ti’ Punch at a fair price.

On the nose it is shy, sugarcane, vegetal and slightly floral(chamomile)/earthy/citrusy hints are discernible. The palate is light, silky and retains the initial shyness, then gradually opens up to slightly peppery, other earthy and floral(hay and chamomile) notes that propagate even in the delicate finish where a fresh, cucumber-scented(anise/medicinal) tip emerges. It is extremely round, seems to have 40°, but has less character than other La Favorite whites. In the empty glass grass, loam, flowers.
This one was a huge surprise and the price to quality is very good. The nose is very fresh and floral with fruits, sugarcane and a light medicinal note. A true Agricole nose and not for beginners in my mind. The palate is velvety and well balanced. Again very fresh and floral with fruits, anise, sugarcane and a touch of grass. The finish is medium to long with sugarcane and vegetal notes and a hint of medicinal notes.
Exciting, very complex Agricole and also well balanced, I like it extremely well compared with the parallel tasted version 2020 clearly less alcoholic in taste.
