I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.

Questo è un rum davvero straordinario! Intenso complesso e dai mille sapori! Una lunghezza infinita!
06.07.2000 Went to visit an old colleague who moved to our office in Dublin and I had a great week trying only two rums, a lot of whisky and also a fair amount of dark beer, which has always been a passion of mine. Notes. Very light in colour. Nose: Without water: Intense, alcoholic, light fruit, floral, light ester. With water: More fruity and light nutty flavours. Palate: Without water: Intense, alcoholic, burning, hard to taste anything else. With water: Less aggressive, fruity, citrus, light wood, faint caramel. Finish: Without water: Alcoholic, burning and hard to pick up any flavours. With water: Intense, warm, citrus, spice, light caramel. Additional note. I rarely add water to my rums, but this one just didn't want to open up. It was just too alcoholic/aggressive in the profile. 3.5 of 5 stars which should amount to 7.0 today. (the score is with water!)
Mild taste, full, but not extraordinary and alcohol is not integrated
