How does this rum taste?
The Collection Grand Arôme Omaggio is a distinguished limited-edition rum from the Savanna distillery in Reunion. Distilled in 2007 from molasses using a column still and aged for 10 years, it boasts a 55.1% ABV. This rum captivates with prominent aromas of banana, tropical fruit, and esters, alongside notes of overripe and woody nuances. Its flavor profile echoes with tropical fruit and woody undertones, enriched by hints of banana, fermentation, and esters. Enthusiasts appreciate its luscious fruity characteristics and complexity, likening it to peaty whisky but with distinct bubble gum notes. However, some find it lacks a touch of magic found in certain other expressions.

Delicious, if somewhat special Savanna. Very dry, somewhat woodier than expected. Intense aromas of lavender tea, red pepper and tobacco, as well as bergamot, plus some fermented fruit. Unfortunately, the finish is relatively short. Still very tasty and round! PS: 3 years later: super fruity strawberry, lemon verbena, honey and pineapple. Very tasty...

A really nice and fruity Grand Arôme. Have tried it a few times and you get a lot for your money.
kleines, privates Savanna Coss-Tasting 2025-07-10: An der Nase Früchte, Klebstoff, Nuss, Holz und fruchtiger Kaugummi. Ähnliche Aromen am Gaumen, dazu Tee, Olive und eine angenehme Süße. Fruchtig-holziger Abgang, mit Nachklang des Kaugummis.
