“Un HSE élevé sous bois sympathique qui débute le voyage olfactif sur le citron et la canne à sucre fraîche et végétale, avant de laisser un jeune boisé, légèrement toasté, se fondre dans la masse. Les épices viennent clôturer cet entracte avec douceur. Un profil léger mais maîtrisé. Les notes boisées et épicées se font plus insistantes en bouche, avec une bonne dose de poivre et de vanille accompagnés de noix et de notes toastées. Les agrumes, portés par le citron, sont toujours là, suivis par la canne à sucre et l’herbe, plus en retrait. Le profil est encore une fois très léger. La finale éclipse le côté végétal pour se concentrer sur les fruits confits, les agrumes et les fruits secs. Le caramel vient se mêler au boisé épicé pour un donner une dernière image de gourmandise en arrière-plan. Un rhum qui n’est ni mauvais, ni exceptionnel, au rapport qualité / prix correcte, mais qui aurait pu être plus intense avec quelques degrés supplémentaires.”
