Bristol Port Mourant Demerara 1999
Highly praised as the sweet spot in the Bristol 1999 PM lineup: balanced wood and spice, dried and fresh fruits, and a surprisingly intense palate despite the reduced ABV.
Fans of classic Demerara/Port Mourant character wanting an affordable, mid‑aged bottle with pronounced wood, spice, licorice and dried fruit at a comfortable drinking strength.

How does this rum taste?
Balanced, characterful mid‑aged Port Mourant
If you enjoy Demerara profiles and want to explore Port Mourant without full cask strength, this hits the balance of character, age and price that RumX members keep highlighting.
High‑proof hunters or those wanting big estery funk and ultra‑dense mouthfeel; also not ideal if you dislike dry, woody spice and anise notes.

01.05.2020 Only have notes on this one. Nose: wood, roasted, licorice, dried fruit, fresh, cherry. Palate: oily, wood, roasted, raisin, anise, chocolate. Finish: long, plum, licorice, chocolate, wood. Medium dry.
One of my favorites from the old Bristol PM!
First woody spicy, then fruity sweet, clearly tangerine in the late finish. Multilayered despite low %, beautiful rum.
A consistent profile. A pleasant rum, not overwhelming but solid.
