Foursquare ECS VI 2005
Highly praised cask strength Foursquare with classic dry, woody bourbon-cask profile, rich vanilla and coconut, balanced spice, long warming finish and excellent alcohol integration. A reference vintage for many fans.
Bourbon and whisky drinkers, and Foursquare fans who enjoy dry, woody cask strength rums with vanilla, coconut and tobacco notes over overt sweetness.

How does this rum taste?
Dry, woody cask-strength Foursquare classic
If you like Foursquare 2004/2007 or bourbon-forward rums, this leans dry and woody with classic vanilla-coconut spice, so it ticks the same boxes at a punchy but well-handled 59%.
Beginners, those sensitive to high ABV, or drinkers seeking sweet, dessert-style rums with lots of sugar and fruitiness.
Harmonious aromatic interplay. Very nice to drink neat. Alcohol well integrated. Barbados rum, as it should be!

A great one, this distillery never disappoints me.
Really good vintage representative. Much influence bom ex-bourbon cask, which suits Foursquare well and results in abundant vanilla, chocolate, pepper, allspice and caramel notes. Very good representative of the archetypal Foursquare profile.
In the smell, the typical Foursquare forward tones of glue and solvent and banana. In the taste then a lot of flavor like a grilled banana. Suseer toffee and roasted aromas with banana nests. The 59 percent is a perfect match. Unfortunately, the prices for such a bottling are rising. But you should still try it
Spontaneous comparison between the RX15990 and the RX50. They are different vintages, but as always with Foursquare, both bottlings are at a high level with the typical flavor markers. For me, however, the RX50 has the edge.
