This is a nice spiced rum and should be judged accordingly. Very nice and warming with a lot of spices and chocolate. Can be enjoyed pure, on the rocks and in a mixer. I have started using this when baking chocolate cake and it's very good for that as well.
In der Nase recht süß mit einer schönen Vanillenote, leicht Karamell, schon fast likörartig. Auch am Gaumen setzt sich der süße Eindruck fort, aber noch im angenehmen Rahmen, auch hier Vanille, Karamell, Kaffee, Schokolade, angenehme Schärfe ohne sprittig zu wirken mit einer schönen Würze, ein Hauch Lakritze?, relativ weich, leicht ölig. Muss man auf jeden Fall öfters trinken um die verschiedenen Gewürze rauszuschmecken. Fazit: guter Spiced Rum in ausgefallener Optik, sollte man auf jeden Fall mal probieren.
Not recommended pure, with Coke it’s really good though…
For some reason Kraken is my favorite rum. I dont that i can find a better one (more suitable for my taste) in this price range. It has an amazing bottle/package. The color matches the bottle (ink of Kraken). The taste is spicy with strong vanilla kick. The aftertaste stays the same and does not last long - but its not imminently gone. Good one to be mixed with other drinks. I prefer this one really cold as it gives roundness to the taste.
