Appleton Gold 151 Proof 75,5%
The Gold 151 Proof made at Jamaica's renowned Appleton Estate distillery is a potent rum with a 75.5% ABV, distilled from molasses. It leads with a strong alcoholic aroma complemented by underlying notes of caramel, fruit, and spice. On the palate, the rum is dominated by alcohol with hints of tropical fruit, ester, caramel, and milk chocolate. While many consider it a versatile mixer ideal for cocktails due to its strength, others note it lacks complex aromatic depth and barrel influence. Notably pungent, it embodies the robust Jamaican rum style, yet is best appreciated in mixed drinks rather than sipped neat.
