"21.08.2020 Having a nice day at home with some samples. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light wood, faint smoke, fruity, peaches, faint ester, spice. Palate Warm, round, light wood, tannins, fruity, dried fruit, light nutts, faint ester, medium dry. Finish Medium long, wood, medium dry, peaches, faint nougat, light nutts."
"Very woody taste, some tanins and tropical fruits. The 49.9% abv is nicely integrated. A good malternative"
"Too mild"
"Elegant, mellow profile on the nose. Light on its feet. Overripe banana and apricot marmalade leading into dried fruits. Minerally molasses and mouth-watering nutty nougat. Sparse spices and wood, however the cognac cask really left its mark. Lovely finish with a mix of hay, moss and pine resin. Interestingly different on the palate. Tropical fruit salad with primarily yellow banana, plantains and passion fruit. Pronounced dried fruits evolve into a tannic complexity. Deep, bitter molasses leave no more room for subtle sugars. Much more wood than the nose introduced us to. Malt and distinct char notes leave us a bitter aftertaste with notes of tobacco, resin and salty seawind. Finish is abrupt with near no fruits left, but rather leans towards bitter molasses, wood and tobacco. Quite the eclectic experience."
