How does this rum taste?
Fruity freshness is the headline here. RumX members say Jardin Fruité opens with pineapple, citrus and banana over young wood and cane. The palate is smooth, woody and fruity with grassy notes, light spice, and hints of vanilla and nutmeg; finish sits medium. A solid, well-regarded Martinique agricole enjoyed neat, and a popular pick with strong community confidence across 76 reviews.

8,2:The nose lives up to its promise, with a sweet fruit salad in syrup.Peach is standing out. It's a very colorful nose, with fruits of all kinds that have one thing in common: they're perfectly ripe and bursting with sunshine. The cane is nestled in the heart of this fruit basket, or even compote, and is joined by a small cinnamon stick.Aeration and rest bring out a soothed, mature rum, conquered by candied cane, butter notes. Its vegetal side is tender and mellow, caressing a mountain of sleeping dried fruit. 8,4:The palate is soft and fluid, with a smooth, ripe, mellow, candied cane, volcanique undertones are present. Its sweet flesh is bursting with mild spices, rose fetals, which flow like syrup. Cinnamon, tonka bean and nutmeg coat roasted exotic fruits such as banana and guava, orchard fruits, some caramel, even iodine. 8,2: The finish is inhabited by superb, very ripe cane, with sweet aromas of whole cane sugar, dry and woody with pastry, vanilla... Edit:18.4.25 round, balanced, really fruity
Honestly, for 35€, can you do better? Tasted dry, the typical JM wood is there, but beautiful tropical fruits encompass and soften the whole, a little papaya perhaps. Some smoky notes and spices add a lovely finish! Excellent RQP.
A fresh smell, quite fruity and woody, a little sticky, slightly spicy. The taste is slightly sweet, woody, somewhat whiskey-like, later fruity.
#4434 Whisky & Rom Festival 2023 28.10.2023 Notes. More grassy than the episches. Peppery with some nice cherry and stronger wood notes.
