Typical example of a continental Hampden that cannot keep up with the tropicals. Immediately on the nose and in the mouth the taste of pickled olives prevails and in the finish an almost musty aftertaste. No trace of fruit, hints of dried fruit. Short finish, the rum dies in the mouth instantly. At Hampden's we have had much more....
This one is really nice and touching your palate is like an explosion. Very fruity, even close to rotten fruits, nice hint of vanilla. Love the esters and lovely smoky wood finish.
Mega fruity, on the nose but also subsequently on the palate. Pleasant sweetness. Alcohol very well integrated, warm but not sharp.
