Nice mix between the still very present sugarcane and the woody, spicy notes. A typical Martinique profile. The nose and palate are quite similar, with notes of cane, wood and vanilla. The pepper is lively and spicy. Pleasant tasting. It's really nice and evolving for an ESB.
A very different rum from its Profil 105 counterpart. Much more focused on spices and grilled and burnt notes, this rum shows more sweetness both in the nose and in the mouth, with slightly spicy pastry notes. If the woodiness remains present, the fruits are on the other hand more discreet. The finish is long but does not reveal new aromas. This Neisson is slightly inferior to the Profile 105.
28.03.2022 Sampling a bit at home. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Faint wood, sugarcane, cinnamon, spice, light chocolate, faint nutts, light citrus. Palate Light wood, balanced, fresh, medium dry, Agricole, faint coconut, light nutts, light citrus. Finish Medium long, wood, light tannins, Agricole, light lemon, faint chocolate.
A classic in the range of agricultural rums. To drink urgently if it is not already done!
