Atypical Worthy Park. Timid in the funk but well balaced. Oak. Malts. Bananas. Whisky. Not so floral as most Worthy Park in the nose. In the taste the flowers open up. It has a pleasant lightness. I must say this bottle has been open for a while (2yrs). Oxygen improved it.
16.09.2022 Going through samples at home. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light wood, spice, fruity, clove, faint anise, apple, light banana. Palate Medium spicy, light wood, spice, light clove, banana, faint anise, light pineapple, faint chocolate. Finish Medium long, light wood, spice, cinnamon, pineapple, faint chocolate.
A lot of ripe banana in the nose. Vanilla, porridge and almond. The taste is bourbon cask-dominated: Banana, vanilla pudding and porridge. A special profile, almost more like a bourbon barrel-matured whisky than a rum. As a whisky enthusiast I like this style a lot.
