Bought me a bottle of this rum in Nerja, Spain. It’s a blend, as the name says, of rum aged at least for four years. Overall a much to thin/weak rum in my opinion. The nose is mostly fruity with scents of citrus. At the palate it’s balanced, sweet, fruity, spicy and a little woody with flavors of honey, citrus, orange , apricot, peach, vanilla and cinnamon. The finish is rather short and a little smoky.
Bar Nationale in Thessaloniki. Dieser Appleton Estate ist quasi derselbe Rum wie der Angostura. Auch hier haben wir vor allem Vanille und Karamell in der Nase und am Gaumen. Am Gaumen ist er zusätzlich dann noch sehr würzig.
Good entry level Jamaican with an outstanding price. With this rum my love for Mai Tai has started back then seven years ago.
This is a great rum for a Mai Tai and here's my recipe. Appleton Estate Signature Curacao Orange Liquer Fresh lime juice Maple syrup Almond syrup To spice it up a bit you can add some Rhum Agricole.
