The "R10.1 Carnival concerto" was produced in Trinidad at the T.D.L distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. It was distilled in 1991 from Molasses with a Column Still and then aged for 25 years. The rum has an ABV of 63,4%. Amazing like a party... for special occasions
Bernsteinfarben. Im Geruch überraschend rund und mild, dominiert von Karamell-Aromen (Toffee, Creme Brulee). Zudem Orange, Sandelholz, Muskatnuss und Bratapfel. Im Mund ebenfalls überraschend rund und mild. Spätestens beim Schlucken merkt man den hohen Alkoholgehalt dann natürlich schon, er ist aber gut eingebunden. Karamell-Aromen, Fassnoten und wiederum Bratapfel und Muskatnuss. Auch fruchtige Noten sind vorhanden. Ich schmecke vor allem Orange und Datteln.. Im Abgang mittellang und angenehm. Wärmt von tief innen. Im Nachgeschmack etwas bitter. Fazit: Ein rundum gelungener Run
