25.09.2019 Had a nice meet up with friends at this nice hotel near the airport. Notes Medium to dark in colour. Nose Fresh, spice, light wood, light tobacco, dried fruit, pineapple,. Palate Fresh, medium dry, wood, lightly spicy, orange, light licorice, spice. Finish Medium to long, wood, dried fruit, light orange, light vegetal, medium dry. I have since then emptied a few of these bottles and also picked up the 15 year old.
Very balanced and totally different from vsop standards
👃 The woodiness comes through nicely, accompanied by almond, banana, vanilla and tobacco. 👄 The palate, a little dry and round, adds walnut, apricot, chocolate and spice. Medium finish.
Solid Agricole. Beautifully complex with lots of fruit, for me personally in the finish just a little too bitter.
