By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 46,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
I think it’s good, but not exceptional in any way. Both the nose and the medium long finish is quite weak. I think the “Seleccion de Maestros” is a better buy when considering the price, but it will anyway have its place on the Cuban shelf in my rumbar.
20.07.2019 Nice private blind tasting where we put tinfoil around the bottles we brought. That ended up being a great evening. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light roasted wood, sweet, floral, light honey, faint chocolate, earthy, light citrus. Palate Light, sweet, wood, light roasted, spicy, light caramel, light earthy, dried fruit. Finish Medium long, wood, light fruit, light caramel, light chocolate, sweet.
Beautiful Cuban. Mild and tasty. Price but a bit sporty.
For me a little too weak on the chest, but soak away very well if you get it as a gift. Pleasant rum with typical Cuban DNA, but just with poor PLV.
