“something must have gone wrong at Silver Seal. They have very likely mixed a Jamaika cask with the DDL cask. The nose is pure Jamaika. Esters, solvent and a nice fruity touch. Overripe banana and ananas. Sweet and very well balanced. On the palate the fruity notes step back. Still dried fruits, esters, but now there is honey, wood, something that reminds me of a Speyside whiskey, leather. It looses a bit on the finish, but appears still to be very smooth and balanced.”
