5,8:On the nose, there is pungeant alcohol, we can find notes of caramel, toffee, coffee, some raisins, the rum is light, later we mostly sense sherry and little vanilla. 5,5:On the palate the oloroso sherry casks also stand behind its taste. There are orange peel noticed, some brown sugar, again as on the nose caramel, toffee, dried red fruits, apricots, alcohol slowly diminishing, note of iodine also present. So some sweet fruit notes mingle with some chocolate... Just some! 5,3:The finish is short/medium long, a bit dry, it is woody, quite strong, sweetness stays, is younger rum, sometimes uncontrollable. This rum is sweeter and more pronounced behind the wine, thinner compared to the Cognac version...
Tagesausflug Bielefeld April 2025. Shop Whisky Room. Durfte ihn vor Ort verkosten. Dieser Austrian Empire ist besser als erwartet. Sehr würzig in der Nase, außerdem tropische Früchte. Am Gaumen dann neben der Würze etwas Karamell und Schokolade.
Hodne sladke na me
Nose is very soft, sweet, kind of unique and I can't really describe it. Taste is sweet with notes of vanilla, oak and fair amount of spiciness. It is nice though. But nothing extraordinary.
