How does this rum taste?
- Vibrant vegetal and citrus flavors
- Smooth for a white rum
- Versatile in cocktails
Rhum J.M Blanc from Martinique is a vibrant agricole rum distilled from sugar cane juice, boasting a 50% ABV. With vegetal, grassy, and floral aromas, it delivers a fresh, citrusy zing. Users noted its smoothness for a white rum, making it equally pleasant neat or in cocktails like the classic Ti' Punch. Earthy undertones and subtle spice add complexity, though some found it less intense compared to other agricoles. A favorite for mixology enthusiasts and praised for its balance, this rum offers a good price-to-quality ratio. Ideal for those who appreciate a smooth sip or an aromatic base for cocktails.

"In nose it’s fruity, grassy and spicy. On the palate it’s the same and I can recognize banana, citrus, ginger, nutmeg and sugar cane flavors The rather long finish goes in the same direction. Overall a very smooth Agricole Blanc, not very demanding. Maybe a good entry to the world of Agricole Blanc."

"A somewhat underrated white rum, given its price, balance and long aftertaste. More than anything, it's rare to have a multi-varietal white with this harmony of spice flavors that leans toward the high-quality side rather than joining the many bland, unworked expressions intended for the average person who doesn't care about craftsmanship and is just looking for a good way to get drunk. Really good value for money, and hats off to J.M. for sticking to quality even when it's not strictly necessary for most consumers in this range of rums."

"#4473 18.11.2023 Wow, this is a really nice, intense and fresh rum. Fruity and floral from pouring. Love the citrus and freshness. Very long and warm finish with a citrus touch. Good as a sipper but probably even better in a mixer."

"The nose has lots of strong fermented notes with honey and sugarcane. Fresh lemon peel is also present. The palate keeps all the fermented notes from the nose but it's also joined by dark earthy notes. The lemon peel has turned into a bit hit of citrus, a little more pears and lemons than just the peel. The finish becomes quite peppery and has some subtle white grape to it. Overall, this is a great introduction to Rhum agricole."
