#4454 05.11.2023 just came back after visiting a former colleague and he offered a few rums to try. I only have notes because I came unprepared 😊 Nose: roasted wood, plums, raisin, light citrus and nutts. Palate: well rounded, wood, raisin, citrus, light licorice. Finish!: medium long with wood, cherry, citrus and nutts. The empty glass has some chocolate and light grassy notes.
A great aged AOC rhum. Wood, spices and leather both on the nose and drinking. The low abv doesn't reduce the strength of this rum, just cuts a bit on the final, really short. The sipping experience is great especially when it comes to the chocolate notes. A great dram of a past time that looks to be gone forever
