This is an OK rum for sipping and also a good rum for beginners. The nose has orange and maple whe poured and once rested for a while you get brow. Sugar, nuts and cinnamon. The palate is kind of light and sweet with oak and vanilla and a bit of nuts. The finish is medium long with oak and cinnamon.
7,5:On the nose we sense a fair bit of astringency, but fleeting, some oxygen let in and the astringency has dissipates, luscious aromas of a bakery take over: butterscotch, caramel, banana and vanilla are all here. The rum is pretty oaky...There is also just a hint of grassy funk, some agricole earthiness. 8:On the palate, this rum has an abundance of sweetness that is quickly followed by a kick of spice. The mouth feel is slick and viscous. The butterscotch and caramel are prominent once again, as is the vanilla and banana. Toffee and raisins also arise. 8:The finish is long with a hint of orange, pineapple and bit of grassy funk mixed with cinnamon and nutmeg. The sipping is all the way very pleasant.
The taste is round, sweet, spicy, warm, caramel, honey, caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, ginger, cloves.
Cappuccino aromas on the nose and palate suit this young rum well. Fruit and cola on the finish. Mild entry-level rum with interesting facets.
