“Recht trockener Caroni. Typisch Assoziationen von Teer und Gummi, eine gute Portion Rauch und akzentuierte Gewürze gesellen sich zu den herben Noten vom Fass und dunkler Schokolade. Ein durchaus passabler Vertreter des Jahrgangs 1999. Für die Caroni-Spitzenklasse reicht es aber deutlich nicht.”

“This is a very nice release and also a very limited one. The nose is wonderfully Caroni with tar, rubber and smoky wood. Once rested fruit and leather notes appear. The nose is kind of sweet and well balanced. The palate takes off where the nose ends. Tar, rubber and smoky wood trailed by tobacco, caramel and pineapple and a light touch of leather. A nicely balanced rum. The finish is long and with smoky wood and fruits. Would have loved a full bottle instead of a sample :-)”
