Rhum Vieux Agricole from the Bielle distillery, bottled by La Compagnie du Rhum, is a limited release with only 200 bottles. First off, here you get a lot for your money. Secondly, this one has to rest a while or the ABV will bite you. Once rested it has a lovely profile. Intense and well balanced and yet light in all the flavours. The empty glas was amazing after an hour.
Un rhum un peu passé inaperçu mais qui aurait mérité un meilleur sort car il est vraiment très intéressant et sa puissance le fait sortie du lot
Au nez, les marqueurs bielle ultra présents, ressemblant au 2008 mais avec de l’alcool (est-ce le millésime qui me biaise?). En bouche, l’écorce d’orange, avec les épices et le fond boisé, tout en rondeur (frangipane, pâtissier). La finale reste longtemps, c’est délicieux.
Une magnifique découverte, une gourmandise énorme. Un très agréable moment.
