"This rum is to be considered as an experimental hybrid, a blend of rums from different origins that have been assembled to form a pleasant drinking set and whose purpose is by no means to make it the best rum in the world. With this idea in mind, it should be said that this is a rather pleasant rum. The nose is marked by the typical Jamaican funk, including exotic fruits and phenolic aromas. Spices, wood and flowers come in the background to remind the multiple origins of this blend. It is greedy and affordable. The attack in mouth is more varied. The sweet notes of cane and candied fruits recall the influence of agricultural rums with floral fragrances, while exotic fruits (mango, passion fruit, banana and pineapple) bring a good dose of greed. Spices, wood and esters complete the gustatory picture. The 55% is ghostly. The rum is thick, creamy and syrupy on the palate, which is quite confusing for a brut de fût rum.The finish, average in length, is quite sweet, more spicy and fruity. Without being extraordinary, it is an atypical rum, easy to drink and to share with friends."
