How does this rum taste?
Brut 2 Colonnes is a distinctive rum from Martinique's La Favorite distillery, distilled in 2019 using sugarcane juice and featuring a high ABV of 73.2%. I had to let this one rest for a while before it revealed itself to me. The ABV will soften after 15 minutes and on the palate it is also softened compared to the first sip and swish. Fresh floral Agricole with fruits, cane and spicy notes. Lightly bitter from the medicinal notes but very well balanced. The ABV doesn't hit your palate right away, but it'll get to you eventually :-) Great rum and the price to quality is very good.
Nase: Limette, floral, blumig, würzig, schöne Mischung Gaumen: schöne wärme, Schwarztee, eher feucht grasig, würzig, Muskat, nussig, uhh gar nicht gemerkt, dass der 73% hat, ok jetzt merk ich's 😅, super im Ti Punch (+0.5)!
Très surprenant. C'est le meilleur blanc que j'ai goûté à présent.
