How does this rum taste?
The Light Trinidad Rum, distilled in 1989 at Trinidad's Caroni distillery and bottled by Velier, is a limited release of only 689 bottles. Crafted from molasses and aged 17 years, this cask-strength rum has a robust 64.2% ABV. The aroma balances vanilla, varnish, woodiness, and tropical fruits, while its taste features banana, vanilla, dark chocolate, and a subtle mineral tone. Users find it particularly alluring on the nose but note its sharpness and alcoholic finish, diverging from traditional Caroni profiles. It showcases a unique and lighter take from Caroni, ideal for those seeking distinct flavors without the typical heaviness.

Epic Velier Caroni Tasting 2023: Schönes, süffiges Light-Profil nahezu ohne die Caroni-typischen schweren Aromen. Sehr ausgewogen und damit ausgesprochen angenehm zu trinken; auch bei den leichten Rums hat Caroni exzellente Arbeit geleistet.
