How does this rum taste?
Dry, woody Guyana with Marsala twist
If you enjoy drier, woody Demeraras at full proof, this is a nice side-step with a Marsala edge—characterful and warm, but less about lush sweetness than about dry structure.
Beginners, those sensitive to high ABV, or drinkers seeking soft, sweet, dessert-like Guyana rums.

Just finished a nice evening going through some of the samples we got from 1423.
To me, the alcohol seems only suboptimally integrated. Update 24.06.2022:Today, the rum still seems to me a bit too brute on the palate, but for that I taste no annoying finish, certainly not sweet wine, but just, as it should be, graphite (pencil shavings).A rum with dry charm and character.Because I tasted the RX1378 in parallel, I held that on the palate stubbornly for this SBS (keyword "heavy sweetness") . 🥴🙈 One may convict me of the grandiose error! 🙏😉
