Velier Clarendon Warren Khong Villa Paradisetto EMB
Members find this EMB “very complex with a long, balanced finish.” Fruity warmth leads, but tannins, wood, and refreshing mint keep things interesting—one to try if you enjoy depth and integrated oak.
Complex, fruity, woody, with great menthol and tannin structure.

How does this rum taste?
- Amazingly round and balanced nose
- Brilliant MM
- Integration of the alcohol
Clarendon’s 1995 EMB for Warren Khong, bottled by Velier, is the kind of rum the RumX crowd revels in: deep, complex fruit—peach, banana, nectarines—meets waves of oak, menthol, and pronounced tannins. The barrel and earthy layers are strong, yet many note fine integration for its 67%. Expect a nose that’s "amazingly round and balanced" (DomM) and a palate with "minze, menthol und piment durch und durch" (crazyforgoodbooze). Some compare the menthol/tannin punch to old Trinidads, with a finish that’s long and evolving.

"Given some time in the Glas the nose is amazingly round and balanced, yet complex and interesting. The high ABV is very well integrated making this an excellent rum to experience its complexity. Brilliant MM :)"
"Wow, great. Nice that I saved this representative of the 95 EMB batch for last. Very fruity, but still with the full force of wood, mint/menthol and spice with chocolate. A cross-comparison is still pending, but from my gut feeling this is the leader of the top group - but certainly right at the front."
"A monymusk show! A great rum of a thousand flavors!!!"
"what's this freaky stuff please?! 🌿🇯🇲Mint and menthol and allspice throughout, dark after eight chocolate, lychee and apricot and other "floral" fruits, then lots of tannins and barrel notes in an endless comeback of intense mentholated black tea with massive mint and subtle cocoa. Madness in addition to how 24y tropical and 67% are just almost not felt...😍🙏Blind I would have pushed this to TDL 🤤🤘🇯🇲🌿🌿🌿"
