„Finally got to sample the other half of this package. Lovely rum which needs to rest 20-30 minutes to get the full package off flavours Lightly dry and a slight bitterness with some fruits and chocolate. The glass the day after is really nice on the nose.“

„On the nose still wonderfully fruity and mild, the palate is rather disappointing! Too bitter and woody... the fruit is completely lost and the alcohol is poorly integrated! Overall, however, slightly better than its tropical brother“

„nice experiment between Continental and tropical aging but unfortunately both rums are almost not drinkable for me...the continental in the case rather reminds of a mixture of Williams pear and glue.... not harmonious no matter how long you let him breathe and in the finish totally after burnt plastic...“

„Apple with chocolate meets barrel aromas. It could be so delicious were my other associations not sharp and pungent. Diluting with the tropical version makes it milder although it increases the alcohol content.“

„Voici un rhum mal aimé et pourtant... 👃 typique d'un jamaicain. Il faut lui laisser 10 bonnes minutes d'aération pour que ses notes de solvant et de colle laissent place à des notes de banane et ananas flambées. 👄 puissante, on sent bien les presque 70 degrés. Le solvant laisse la place aux fruits tropicaux bien mûrs et flambés. Finale moyenne. Un excellent heavy rum qui mérite d'être redécouvert mais qui ne peut être apprécié si on a le courage de vouloir se frotter à ce genre de rhums très puissants.“

„Nase: Vergorene Ananas als markanteste Vertreterin der tropischen Früchte. Lack, Kräuter und eine frische Note neben dem opulenten Alkoholauftritt. Gaumen: Die Frische bleibt zurück, ansonsten findet man alle Aromen der Nase wieder. Zusätzlich Holz und deutliche Bitterkeit. Abgang: Holzig, bitter, Honig. Fazit: Milder und frischer als der tropische Bruder. Dennoch werde ich nicht warm mit dieser Serie. Zu scharf, zu pfeffrig und zu wenig Jamaika.“
