“Melasse-Rum von Guadeloupe. Bin ich ein großer Freund von! Nase: Wow, ungewöhnlich, komplex und intensiv. Schön aromatisch. Dabei würzig-holzig aber auch fruchtig. Eine leichte Menthol-Note bringt eine dreckige Frische hinein. Zu Beginn salzig-pfeffrig mit Muskat, Anis und etwas Ingwer, daneben aber auch gleich Süße von Ahornsirup und braunem Zucker. Angenehm fruchtig mit schwarzer Johannisbeere, Kirsche und Stachelbeere. Hinten heraus gedeckt, leicht seifig und rauchig zugleich. Spannende Komposition. 8,3 Gaumen: was sofort hervorsticht sind die deutliche Seifen-Note, eine Menthol-Frische und süß-sauer-herbe Melasse. Hinzu kommen Tabak und junges Holz. Irgendwie ist er auch fruchtig, vielleicht Orangenschale mit etwas Ingwer. Auch hier schön komplex und nicht langweilig. Für mich etwas zu viel Seife. 7,9”

“Thinking about the price tag you get a lot for your money in my mind. A naturally sweet and fruity profile with some wood and spices. Well balanced and the ABV has been integrated really well. The empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some mint and medicinal notes.”
