This is a very old rum that can be traced back to the barrel from 1965 when it arrived in Germany. The nose is wonderful and typical Jamaican with its funky grassy notes besides wood and fruit. The palate is a bit disappointing and thin. Jamaica is there but it tastes like the bling has disappeared. Maybe a higher proof would have benefitted this rum. The finish is short with a bit of bitterness and lemon zest to it.
Very mild Jamaica Rum with some funk in the nose but mild but very spicy finish. All in all, a nice round Jamaica Rum.
