Serge schreibt in einer großartigen Review: "Nose: get out of here! Brand new Pirellis, two tons of rubber bands, and your sister’s bicycle inner tubes. You see the idea…Mouth (neat): Ardbeg matured in a new scuba diving suit. Plus salt and lemon. The question is, do we enjoy this much rubber?" Meine Antwort vor einem Jahr: Nein, ich fand ihn ungenießbar! Inzwischen ist das Profil ein Paradebeispiel für acquired taste. Gegenüber den 2005er PMs ist er wirklich viel dreckiger: Aceton, Gummi, eine Spur Rauch - dahinter das typische Kernobst und frisches Sauerteigbrot. Die Anisnote der 2005er fehlt. Im Mund trifft es Serge auf den Punkt: Gummi, Lake und eine Spur Zitrone. Meine Antwort heute: Ja. Oder um es mit Serge zu sagen: "There’s bad rubber and there’s good rubber. This is good rubber."

Yet another rum that needs to be rested properly before you nose and sample it or the ABV is going to hit you. The nose is lightly woody with pears, vanilla and varnish, the chocolate note is very faint but more clear in the empty glass after a while. The palate is warm and oily with pear, vanilla, wood and chocolate. The finish is long and warm with smoky wood, dried fruit and light vanilla.

Quite light and fruity compared to other/older PMs. Feels somewhat juvenile but in a positive way. Alcohol is well integrated. Good choice for the hotter summer nights.

Unspektakuläre Abfüllung, die gemessen am jungen Alters zwar noch vergleichsweise spannend daherkommt und deshalb Pluspunkte sammeln kann, aber in der Gesamtbeurteilung nicht über eine solide Bewertung hinauskommt.

Very fruity and not much else, so a bit 1-dimensional. No alkohol burn. Consistent in nose and mouth.
