A very gourmand rum with vanilla, caramel and chocolate. More in line with what I know of rums from this source. Some fruit. Lots of pepper. Powerful. Pleasant.
Very nice sipping Belize. Alcohol content is perfectly chosen. Typical aromas of coconut, werthers real and dark chocolate.
First time trying Bristol Spirits and now won’t be the last time - what a marked difference in flavour, aroma and mouthfeel Quite a lot of rums I’ve tried are either 40% or 43% ABV - something magical about 46% ABV that lower ABV’s just can’t deliver in terms of flavour and balance of it This is has got an excellent balance of vanilla, caramel, pepper, oak spice and some roasted elements like chocolate/cacao and coffee. There’s a slither of fruit on the taste but it’s very faint but just provides enough to tickle the taste buds! Not quite a 9/10 for me but it’s damn close!!
