„Kräutertee trifft Guyana. Nun ja, Nase noch spannend/komplex (pflanzlich, nussig, röstig, fruchtig) und macht Lust auf mehr, aber im Mund dann holzig, trocken, würzig, herb. Hätte mir mehr Röstaromen, Karamell und Frucht gewünscht. Im Abgang viel Lakritz, Gewürze und Trockenfrüchte, was was nicht ganz auf meinen Geschmack trifft.“

„Guyana can be a little tricky in my taste. There are the ones that I love and the ones that I’m not the biggest fan of. Those are the herbal and vegetal ones. This one tastes a lot like a very herbal PM, in addition to some wood and spices a a touch of fruit. Interesting but not for me.“

„Die Nase ist überraschend zurückhaltend. Nicht so raumfüllend, wie es Versailles Stills auch können. Im Mund schlägt er dafür ein und behält dabei die Rundheit der Nase. Der Abgang ist lang, warm, harmonisch ohne deutliche Bitterkeit. Für mich betont salzig, würzig mit leichter Trockenfrucht. Ich mag besonders das körperreiche Mundgefühl.“

„Es gibt auch aus 2003 eine Abfüllung derselben Distillerie aus der Savalle Still (SVL) die deutlich gelungener ist. Diese hier müsste aus der Versailles Still sein und ist einfach nicht mein Fall, da die Fruchtnoten im Alkohol etwas untergehen.“

„Le nez dégage immédiatement des arômes d'ester, c'est fruité sur la pomme et les fruits secs. On y trouve aussi de la réglisse, du poivre et d'autres épices. C'est assez conventionnel pour un Guyana de cet âge. En bouche, c’est un rhum qui a du corps … très puissant, trop alcooleux à mon gout. On retrouve des notes de fruits et la réglisse apparait, avec du bois humide et de la vanille. La finale est longue en bouche avec des notes d’agrumes amers, d’épices (poivre-anis) et fumées-boisées. Un rhum complexe, comme un bonbon aux herbes de montagnes. Mais malheureusement trop alcooleux.“

„Starts strong with a nice fruity/sweet/herbal nose which you would expect from Guyana, but gets pretty herbal/woody on the palate without much complexity. Short - medium finish that leaves you with bitter notes. Overall ok but disappointing.“
