#4972 12.12.2024 Enjoying some samples at home. Nose Light, fruits, banana, light caramel, faint coconut, light melon. Palate Light, sweet, fruits, banana, light coconut, light caramel, spice, faint smoke, light earthy. Finish Medium long, sweet, light, light banana, light coconut, spice, faint smoke. I would use this one for a mixer.
Nose: very simple. Some white flowers, alcohol, vanilla, coconut, hint of white chocolate. Taste: simple. Alcoholic, part of coconut & butterscotch, white flowers, little bit of creamy. Aftertaste: medium, with notes of white chocolate & coconut. Nothing interesting.
Tasted 26-11-2016; This is a Barbados banger in a daquiri in how it's intended , zingy lemon notes . Insane to think early in my rum journey I didn't enjoy this thank god for the revisit to the rum . Good at 40% even better at the higher proof
Knowing this is pretty much destined to be used for cocktails, first gave it a few sips and was pleasantly surprised. Vanilla and grapefruit on the nose, and then a soft sweet chocolate note on the palate with some of the same citrusy flavor coming through. Only thing that's missing is a longer finish, which is completely understandable. Would happily sip again, but also makes a killer crisp daiquiri. For the price and ease of getting it compared to White Stache think this will be the new go-to for a casual white rum. Photo is of daiquiri.
