How does this rum taste?
- Tropical fruit richness
- Balanced palate
- Distinct New Yarmouth profile
The Jamaica rum, distilled at New Yarmouth in 2005 and aged for 12 years, stands out for its tropical fruit-forward profile. Bottled by Compagnie des Indes with an ABV of 55%, this limited-edition release of 327 bottles is noted for its intriguing aroma of tropical fruits, almond, and buttery esters. The palate delivers a vibrant taste filled with tropical fruit, cookie dough, and mango. Though some users noticed a solvent-like nose and a finish considered short, the overall development and balance impressed many. Enjoyed for its blend of fruitiness and estery depth, this rum offers a distinct Jamaican flair.

"Nice funky nose with lots of tropical fruits and some cookie dough on the nose. However not quite as vibrant as some 09ers I had recently. Same marker on the palate. Nice profile which ticks all the NY boxes."
Insgesamt sehr einladend. Am Gaumen finden sich die Aromen wieder. Alkohol gut eingebunden."
"A nose of glue and varnish, dominated by fresh fruit. On the palate, the opposite is true, with fruit dominating over varnish and solvents. The finish is rather short and a little acqueous. In the empty glass, peppery and spicy notes emerge, previously absent."
