"This is a wonderful rum in my mind. The pricing puts this one in a good spot. The ABV has been very well integrated and there is a good balance with the dryness. Lightly fruity with vanilla and smoky wood. What I noticed while it rested was that the nose came at me though sitting on my couch while the tumbler was on the table. Very fresh rum."

"Tasted as a 2cl sample. For a 13-year-old rum, the very light color irritated me a little. I would have thought that after all this time, the color would be completely different. Wonderful smell of freshly mown grass combined with vanilla, yellow stone fruit and banana. Super pleasant nose. The taste was a completely different story. It's crazy how far apart smell and taste are. Vanilla here too, but only very minimally fruity, instead wood with a pleasant bitterness, tar and smoke, but on a pleasant scale. I have to say that of the TRCs I've tried so far, this is almost my favorite, even though I'm usually more of a fan of fruity Jamaicans and Savanna."
