#4733 05.06.2024 A nice afternoon with Michael and a few good rums. Nose Light wood, caramel, dried fruit, faint mint, sweet, light spices. Palate Sweet, oily, round, light wood, roasted, dried fruit, light caramel, faint chocolate, faint mint. Finish Medium to long, oily, sweet, caramel, light tannins, wood, raisin. The ABV is hardly felt and I think even beginners would be able to drink this one. Needs to rest for a good while before it really opens up.
Bought due to good reviews (RR). Unfortunately, a bitter disappointment. From the strong sweetness (re-sweetened) one is literally slain. In addition, one perceives spicy notes, vanilla and wood.reminds me somewhat of the namesake Tres Hombres Captains Choice.
