How does this rum taste?
- Pleasant vanilla aroma
- Sweet, caramel taste
- Good for mixing
Ron Canuto Superior Rum, crafted at Ecuador's Zhumir distillery, is a 7-year-old spirit distilled from molasses using a column still with an ABV of 40%. Users note its aroma of honey, vanilla, dried fruit, and hints of medicinal and butterscotch. On the palate, it offers vanilla, caramel, and a light spiciness, though alcohol intensity is prominent in some reviews. The rum is described as sweet with a short, dry finish and is appreciated more for mixing than sipping straight. Ideal for those exploring diverse Latin American rums, it presents a balanced, albeit straightforward, flavor profile.

To Zhumir
"The nose, mouth, palate and the rather short finish is completely dominated by alcohol. Hard to believe that it’s aged for seven true years. Can’t recommend it !"
