Diplomatico Seleccion de Familia

Ich kenne ja schon den Diplomatico Reserva, der mir auch sehr gut schmeckt, dieser ist aber für mich noch besser. Sehr rund, Vanille und Honig, aber überhaupt nicht aufdringlich süß. Einer meiner Favoriten.

Geruch sehr angenehm. Ganz ganz leicht nach Alkohol. Leichte Frucht. Geschmack angenehm mild. Noten von Karamell und braunen Zucker. Kurz etwas Schärfe aber sehr angenehm. Abgang relativ lange. Durchaus mein Fall. Wäre eine Flasche wert

Much more complex and less sweet than the Reserva Exclusiva. Enjoy this much more. This for me reminiscent of a strong, dark honey (pine, chestnut,...) mixed with green herbs (herbal tea) and chocolate. Sipping it reminds me of lush tropical rainforest.

Personally, one of the best rums I ever tasted, very round and fruity. Talking with a friend, we talked about how well overproof suits on Venezuelan rums and this product is proof of it. The nose on this rum is just a delicacy, highly recommended. :)

Molasses, roasted notes, raisin, honey and very very smooth. Less sweet than the reserva exclusiva but still on the sweeter side. Also more expensive.

Very pleasant improvement in comparison to original Diplomatico. The few years in sherry casks improve the roundness of the experience pretty well. The price is maybe little to much but still I am quite happy and I can recommend this one.

Just beautiful for sipping. Love it neat. I would describe it as a grandad serious and stable with lifelong expierence and sound opinions. Like its telling you-there is no need to climb that tree to get an apple, just wait-apple will fall in your hand when its rihht time-just relax.

From a complete rum rookie: smooth, bit sweet (nor too much) but with a good variety of flavours. Finish is great, hinting at fruits and wood. Would have no problem buying this again.

The nose is pleasant and suggests a sweetened product alongside caramel, vanilla, wood and tobacco. On the palate, the sweetness is confirmed by honey, brown sugar and raisins and is complemented by the impressions from the nose. Well chosen drinking strength. The finish is sweet, spicy and woody with aromas of caramel, vanilla and some herbs, but slightly watered down. Still worth a recommendation.
