Montebello Blanc Winch is an agricole rum from Guadeloupe, distilled at the Carrere distillery using sugarcane juice and a column still. Rhum qui sort de l’ordinaire avec ce goût très spécial de la canne rouge . Un goût de « goûter » ou de « dessert » à base de biscuit pour moi . Puis un finale doux qui s’évapore avec un goût végétal . Excellent moment !!!
The nose is interesting with custard, butter, vegetable (green peppers), citrus, hazelnut and some raspberry. The palate is initially pungent, but quickly becomes smooth with marked sweet (cream/butter) and vegetable (spinach, chard) notes, also roasted hazelnuts and mild pepper in the finish. Simple and pleasant.
Not bad as an agricole starter!
